Limited Edition - Kenya AA Coffee Beans - 100% Arabica by Caffé Prima 1kg & 6kg
Beans used: 100% Kenya AA Arabica, highland grown Roast: Medium Taste profile: Sweet plum and grape Body: Full, with a clean finish Crema: Fine golden crema; best appreciated as a straight espresso or Americano Best for: Espresso, cafetière, drip filter, pour over Kenya AA is graded at the top of the Kenyan classification system, which sorts beans by screen size. The AA designation covers beans at screen size 17 and above — the largest and densest fruit from the harvest. Density matters in coffee: denser beans retain moisture more consistently during roasting and develop flavour compounds with greater clarity. These beans come from the volcanic highlands of central Kenya, grown at altitudes between 1,400 and 2,000 metres. The combination of altitude, red volcanic soil, and the two-season harvest cycle produces a cup that is distinctly fruit-forward. Sweet plum and grape sit at the front of the flavour, with a bright acidity that feels clean rather than sharp. The body is full without being heavy. A medium roast preserves those natural fruit characteristics rather than pushing the beans toward the darker, more bitter end of the spectrum. Pull it as espresso and you get a dense, sweet shot. Brew it in a cafetière or drip filter and the plum and grape notes come through with more space. Available only while stocks last, this is a limited edition worth trying across more than one brewing method. For the best results with Kenya AA: Espresso Machine: Fine grind, 15g dose, 20–24 second extraction Filter Coffee: Medium grind, 18g, 93–95°C water temperature French Press: Coarse grind, 20g, 3–4 minute steep Moka Pot: Medium-fine grind, low-to-moderate heat for a smooth cup
