BUILT FOR CONTROL. Too much heat can damage a record. Too little may not flatten the warp. That’s why temperature control matters. Record Pi Dial lets you precisely set the heating range used during each flattening cycle. Temperature is measured in 0.1°F increments, while the Record Pi system is designed to maintain temperatures on average within 1°F of your target. Whether you're working on a vintage pressing that has been warped for decades or a brand-new record that arrived dished in the mail, Record Pi gives you the control to adjust your process based on the record in front of you. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ GET DIALED IN Some vinyl collectors simply prefer physical controls. Record Pi Dial gives you a tactile, straightforward way to manage temperature without connecting to WiFi or using a mobile app. Two precision dials let you define the heating range: TURN-ON DIAL Sets the temperature at which the heating system turns back on. TURN-OFF DIAL Sets your target temperature—the point at which heating turns off. For example, for a target temperature of 125°F, a typical setup would be: Turn On: 124.5°F Turn Off: 125.0°F The recommended 0.5°F differential helps maintain a tightly controlled temperature range during flattening. Turn the dials slowly to make precise 0.1°F adjustments or turn them more quickly to move through larger temperature changes. Once your settings are ready, slide the control to LOCK to help prevent accidental changes while your record is flattening. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ SEE YOUR TEMPERATURE AT A GLANCE The digital display gives you immediate visibility into your Record Pi settings and current measured temperature. You can also: Switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius Adjust display brightness Lock your temperature settings Monitor when heating power is active Reset the integrated fuse if a fault condition occurs No phone required. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ PRECISION HEAT + PRESSURE + TIME Flattening vinyl isn't about simply making a record hot. Successful vinyl flattening depends on balancing three things. PRECISION HEAT Record Pi gives you adjustable temperature control from 100°F to 145°F. Most vinyl flattening occurs between approximately 125°F and 145°F, depending on the record, pressing and severity of the warp. Record Pi instructions provide conservative starting recommendations so you can adjust temperature and time gradually. EVEN PRESSURE The substantial Record Pi flattening device uses thick alloy-steel plates to apply even pressure across the record while distributing heat across the vinyl surface. At approximately 16 lbs for the complete system, Record Pi feels as substantial as the job it is designed to do. TIME Vinyl responds gradually to controlled heat. Some records may improve after one heating cycle. Others—especially heavier records, older warps or difficult edge warps—may require additional cycles. After heating, the record remains under pressure while cooling so the vinyl can gradually return to a rigid state. Patience is part of the process. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ SAVE THE RECORDS YOU THOUGHT YOU'D LOST A warp isn't just annoying to look at. Severe warps can cause your stylus to rise and fall dramatically, create tracking problems, contribute to skipping or make an otherwise great record difficult—or impossible—to enjoy. Record Pi was created for collectors who have looked at a warped record and thought: There has to be a better option than throwing this away. From vintage records you've owned for decades to new vinyl that arrived warped, Record Pi gives you a purpose-built way to try to bring those records back into playable condition. Not every warp can be repaired, and perfect cosmetic flatness isn't always possible. The goal is more important: Get the record playing properly again. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ FOR SERIOUS VINYL COLLECTIONS If you collect long enough, warped records accumulate. Maybe it's a vintage pressing that spent years stored incorrectly. Maybe it's an album you've been hunting for that finally turns up—with an edge warp. Maybe it's a brand-new 180g pressing that arrives dished straight out of the sleeve. Record Pi gives you a tool you can keep using whenever the next warped record enters your collection. No improvised oven techniques. No guessing at uncontrolled heat. Just a purpose-built vinyl flattening system with precision temperature control. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ BUILT FOR VINYL DJs, TOO A warped record can be more than a visual distraction when you're cueing, back-cueing or mixing. Record Pi can help reduce warps that cause excessive platter movement, tonearm movement or playback problems—helping get valuable records back into rotation. And because every record is different, you remain in control of temperature, time and each successive flattening cycle. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ WHAT'S INCLUDED RECORD PI® FLATTENING DEVICE Heavy alloy-steel construction applies pressure across the record and helps distribute heat evenly.
