Isoetes Lacustris

Add fresh, vibrant greenery to your planted aquarium with Isoetes Lacustris. This aquatic plant features long, slender, slightly fleshy leaves with a reed-like appearance that emerge from a compact, rosette-like base. Its bright green foliage grows in upright clusters, creating a soft, grassy texture that complements a variety of aquascaping styles. Unlike traditional aquarium hairgrass that spreads through runners, Isoetes Lacustris has a more concentrated, clump-like growth habit, making it easier to maintain defined groups of greenery throughout an aquascape. Its flowing foliage adds natural movement and height to the midground, offering an attractive alternative to conventional grass-like aquarium plants. Isoetes Lacustris benefits from moderate lighting, a nutrient-rich substrate, and stable aquarium conditions. Supplemental CO2 is not always necessary, although growth and overall success can vary between setups.
