It's naturally odor-resistant, so these don't need washing after every wear, and it's soft against the skin without the itch of ordinary wool. Polyamide is blended through the yarn to reinforce the heel and toe, the two places socks give out first. Elastane keeps the knit holding its shape, and the ribbed cuff holds the socks snugly on the foot without digging in.
