Description Linn Klimax DS Organik DAC Upgrade The Linn Klimax DS Organik DAC upgrade focuses exclusively on the digital source player (DS), without the preamplifier circuitry, volume control, analogue inputs or video connections found in the DSM variants. Organik Upgrade Package for Klimax DS The streaming engine upgrade replaces the internal digital architecture with an ARM-Linux computing platform. It enables native high-resolution playback, supporting PCM files up to 24-bit/384kHz and native DSD256 processing. The upgrade also integrates native Apple AirPlay 2 connectivity into the existing chassis. Features Excluded from the DS Upgrade Because the hardware is specifically engineered for the standalone Klimax DS architecture, this upgrade excludes features reserved exclusively for the Klimax DSM models. Features The Linn Klimax DS Organik Upgrade supports a range of music streaming and playback options, including Tidal, Qobuz, Calm Radio, Spotify Connect, Roon, Deezer, Amazon Music and Presto Music. It also includes AirPlay and AirPlay 2 connectivity options. Additional solutions are available for services and features such as Spotify Lossless, Chromecast and Tidal Connect through compatible external devices. Zero Preamplifier I/O The upgrade does not include analogue input stages, ADC processing or switchable analogue volume outputs. No Video/Digital Routing HDMI switching, optical digital ports and USB audio inputs are not included. Physical Control Constraints The upgrade does not add a front-panel volume dial, glass smart-buttons or proximity sensors. Network Backbone The system relies on a high-speed Gigabit Ethernet connection and does not add onboard Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
