A highly detailed, fully operational miniature four-stroke petrol engine inspired by the classic British stationary engines first introduced in the 1920s. Produced to commemorate the 100th anniversary of this iconic stationary engine design, the model recreates the characteristic vertical single-cylinder layout, large flywheel and slow-running mechanical appearance of the originals. Supplied fully assembled and ready to run, the engine features all-metal construction mounted on a solid wooden base. Its exposed working components make it equally suited to running, display and demonstrating the principles of early internal combustion engines. The engine can be started manually or using the supplied drill starter rod and uses evaporative water cooling, splash lubrication and mechanical-trigger ignition.
