PINTO X MARCEL WANDERS - One Minute Delft Black Vase No. 4

Vase On this vase, black covers almost the entire surface. Tight strokes and successive imprints follow every rib of the baluster form, so that the white shows through only in fine, luminous lines. The neck, largely reworked in black, carries the movement right up to the lip. One minute, and only one, was all it took Marcel Wanders to paint this piece by hand, following the rules of One Minute Delft: no sketches, no corrections, no repetition. Revisited for PINTO at Fahad Hariri’s invitation, the blue and white vocabulary of Delft tips here into black. Made by Royal Delft, the vase is unique and signed.
