The Skimmia Gift

With its panicles of vivid red flower buds, bursting out in the spring into creamy-white flowers, skimmia plants certainly know how to leave an impression. Evergreen foliage ensures genuine year-round interest, none of that "two weeks of blooms then wait another 12 months" nonsense, thank you... A naturally neat and compact shrub, this skimmia gift is the perfect present for a partially shaded balcony or patio, where it can be grown in a pot. Both the leaves (when crushed) and flowers of this plant are highly fragrant, radiating intoxicating notes of both pepper and citrus. This gift plant is a recipient of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, showcasing its strong performance across British gardens.
