FINCA AMIGOS COLOMBIA JAVA
MILK CHOCOLATE | BLOOD ORANGE | GREEN TEA | ALMOND In the heart of Jardín, Antioquia, among the Colombian mountains, lies the coffee of Finca Amigos, an estate dedicated to the research, experimentation, and promotion of the rarest specialty coffee varieties. The finca spans approximately 16 hectares, 12 of which are dedicated to coffee cultivation, at an altitude between 1,741 and 1,950 meters above sea level. The high altitude and unique mountain environment foster slow maturation and contribute to the development of complex, elegant, and intense flavor profiles. Production is associated with Hassan Attia and is part of the experimental project by Cafexport, which uses Finca Amigos as a research site to study the behavior of rare and prized varieties within the Colombian terroir. Varieties such as Java, Laurina, Rume Sudan, Tabi, and Geisha are cultivated here, along with other experimental selections. The finca's philosophy goes beyond just quality in the cup. Approximately 4 hectares of the property are dedicated to forest conservation, while over the years, around 650 native trees and plants have been planted, contributing to the protection of biodiversity and the creation of a natural environment favorable to coffee cultivation. Finca Amigos thus represents a true open-air laboratory, where genetics, altitude, microclimate, and processing techniques are combined to explore new expressions of Colombian coffee. A project where territory, research, and sustainability meet, giving life to microlots of great character and coffees capable of expressing all the complexity of the varieties grown in the high mountains of Antioquia.
