Tuga Diamond Sanding Disc
The Tuga Diamond Sanding Disc turns your wheel into a grinder. Peel the back, stick the 6 in electroplated diamond disc to a bat, and hold your piece against it while the wheel spins. The disc does the work, so you can flatten a foot or grind off a glaze drip in seconds instead of sanding it down by hand. Use it on bisque or glaze-fired work to grind off glaze drips and kiln wash, level rough or uneven feet, and finish the bottom of a pot so it won't scratch the table. Work coarse to fine: start at 60 or 120 to remove material, then step up through the grits to a smooth surface. Works wet or dry. A little water keeps the dust down and the grit cutting longer. Key Features Sticks to a bat: peel-and-stick adhesive back Grinds on the wheel: let the wheel do the work on feet, bottoms and drips 6 in disc: covers the foot of most mugs and bowls Electroplated diamond: diamond bonded straight to the disc for fast cutting that holds up Five grits: 60, 120, 200, 400 and 600 Which Grit? 60 and 120: heavy grinding, glaze drips, kiln wash, rough feet 200 and 400: smoothing and refining 600: finishing Part of our ongoing studio experiments, so tell us what you think.
