Contratto Canelli Ad Poster by Leonetto Cappiello

The Contratto Canelli poster is one of Leonetto Cappiello's most celebrated works in commercial illustration, capturing the spirited visual language that made him one of the most sought-after advertising artists of the early twentieth century. Cappiello, often called the father of modern advertising, had a gift for distilling a brand's character into a single arresting image, and this piece is a prime example of that instinct at work. Bold outlines, vivid contrasting colours, and a dynamic figure composition give the poster an energy that reads just as powerfully today as it did when it first appeared in print.A print like this brings warmth and personality to rooms that lean into character rather than restraint. It suits a dining room where a love of wine and conviviality sets the tone, a home bar or kitchen with an earthy, vintage palette, or a study furnished with mid-century or eclectic pieces. The richness of the original colour scheme means it holds its own on a dark wall as easily as it does against neutral plaster, drawing the eye without overwhelming surrounding furniture. The reproduction is printed on premium 200 g/m2 FSC-certified matte paper, delivering sharp detail and deep colour saturation without any surface glare. Optional framing is available in black, white, or natural pine wood with shatterproof plexiglass, so the piece arrives completely ready to hang.Orders are printed and dispatched within one to two business days, with delivery typically arriving in three to seven business days. Production is handled locally wherever possible, and tracked shipping is included with every order. No customs or import fees apply in supported regions, and returns are accepted within 30 days.
