La Due Table Lamp
Designed by Milan–Brussels architecture studio Piovenefabi, the La Due (The Two) Table Lamp draws inspiration from the iconic handrail of the Milan metro. First presented at the 2017 Chicago Architecture Biennial, the design transforms a familiar element of public transport into a playful and contemporary lighting piece. Characterised by its bold tubular structure and distinctive curved silhouette, the La Due Table Lamp features a dynamic form, with a small exposed light source at the end of its curved stem. Made from powder-coated steel, the lamp has a smooth, colourful finish. An on-cord switch allows for easy operation, while the crossed tubular base provides stability and complements its geometric appearance. With its simple construction and vibrant colours, the lamp combines practical lighting with a distinctive design. The La Due Table Lamp is available in four colours inspired by the Milan metro. Its sculptural form makes it a striking addition to side tables, desks and shelves, providing ambient lighting while also serving as a playful decorative element. The collection also includes other table lamp designs, La Tre and La Tre e Mezzo, as well as a floor lamp and a wall lamp.
