STENA leather necklace | collaboration with Niit Jewels

STENA necklace with a leather cord was inspired by organic patterns of the layered structures of metamorphic rocks, such as gneiss. Each sphere is absolutely unique, and what makes them special is that the patterns are not merely on the surface, but run through the very core of the material. Combined with hematite, stainless steel, and leather, they become bold pieces to wear. The central sphere is handcrafted using the nerikomi technique, which involves layering and combining different colours of clay. The beads surrounding the sphere are made of hematite, a mineral known for its distinctive metallic appearance. The thick leather cord is finished with stainless steel components.
