Flora Fantastica No. 3 – Original Painting

From the Flora Fantastica series, Flora Fantastica No. 3 is a one-of-a-kind original painting by Australian artist Kirsten Katz. A joyful bouquet spills from a round, deep green vase patterned with layered leaf shapes, set on a cobalt tabletop against a fresh aqua background with a band of deep blue on the horizon. At its heart, a golden sunburst flower circles a red centre, ringed in pink and finely lined in black. Around it sit a large pink protea-like bloom, a tall yellow and coral flower, three pink star flowers with sunny centres, butterfly-wing leaves in lilac and navy, green fern sprigs and soft pink drops trailing to the left. Every surface is layered with hand-painted lines and dots, so it reads beautifully from across the room and rewards a closer look. Painted in acrylic on a 40 x 60cm canvas and professionally framed in Australia in a Tasmanian oak float frame. The light timber sits easily in any interior, from coastal and beach homes to soft beige rooms, and lets the painting and its colours take centre stage. Signed and titled on the back, so no signature interrupts the painting itself. Ready to hang. Beautiful on its own, or hung with No. 1 and No. 2 as a set of two or three. Once sold, this piece will not be repeated. Framed size: 43 x 63.5cm (17 x 25in) Canvas size: 40 x 60cm Medium: Acrylic on canvas
