The Good Shepherd 2027 Painted Verses Fine Art Calendar features twelve original watercolor illustrations from the 1 in 100 Sheep series, inspired by Jesus’ Parable of the Lost Sheep in Luke 15:3–7, finished with a spiral binding and a center notch for easy hanging. The Story Behind the Calendar While meditating on Jesus’ parable of the lost sheep, I felt deeply moved to paint the sheep who was tenderly carried back home by the Shepherd. What always strikes me about the story is that the Shepherd doesn’t wait for the sheep to return. He goes after it. And when He finds it, there is no scolding and no shame, only rejoicing. Luke’s account tells us that He lays the sheep on His shoulders, rejoicing. After finishing that first sheep, I found myself thinking about the ninety-nine who remained. What’s their story? Then came a quiet but clear prompting: Paint them all. All 100 sheep. Each one unique and one-of-a-kind, just like us. What began as one painting became a collection of 100 sheep, each carrying its own personality, story, and reminder of the Good Shepherd’s love for His flock. As I painted them, I kept returning to the truth that we are not simply one of many. Every single sheep matters to Him. The 1 in 100 Sheep series resonated with so many of you, and I began thinking about how I could share these little sheep in a way that would allow more people to enjoy them throughout the year. And so, the idea for the "1 in 100 Sheep" 2027 Fine Art Calendar was born. Each month features one of my original watercolor sheep paintings paired with a prayerfully chosen Bible verse centered around the beautiful relationship between Jesus, our Good Shepherd, and us, His sheep. Together, the twelve months offer reminders of His care, of being known, guided, protected, pursued, comforted, and deeply loved. My hope is that as you turn each page throughout the year, these little sheep become a constant reminder of the Shepherd who knows you by name. You are seen. You are known. You are never alone. You are the one He leaves the ninety-nine to rescue. And when the month has passed, each 8×10 page can be saved, framed, displayed, or gifted so that the reminder can continue long after its place on the calendar has passed. Because these little sheep were created to be more than artwork. They were created to remind you of the Good Shepherd and His tender love for you.
