Drawing Techniques 2 - Measuring & Estimating

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to use simple measuring and careful observation to draw a small, symmetrical object. Using two spoons, we’ll explore how perspective and foreshortening can make an object appear shorter than its true measurements. We’ll practise making soft, flowing lines, estimating shape and symmetry, and learning to trust what our eyes see. Your drawing doesn’t need to be perfect—those little differences are what give it character!
