Featuring an integrated FLIR Boson 640R thermal sensor, the Altum-PT Pro provides enhanced thermal resolution alongside high-resolution multispectral and panchromatic imaging. With a global shutter and capture rates of up to two captures per second, it helps professional operators collect detailed, synchronized data efficiently. These complementary data sources support detailed vegetation analysis and pan-sharpening workflows, helping users examine crop variability at a finer spatial resolution. At 60 m (200 ft) above ground level, the sensor can achieve a ground sampling distance of approximately 1.2 cm (0.47 in) with appropriate post-processing. This level of detail supports leaf-level research, automated plant counting, and advanced crop analysis. High-Resolution Radiometric Thermal Imaging The integrated FLIR Boson 640R thermal sensor captures 640 × 512 radiometrically calibrated thermal infrared imagery. Its enhanced thermal resolution supports the identification and analysis of subtle temperature differences across crops, landscapes, and infrastructure. Thermal data can help agricultural professionals investigate canopy temperature, irrigation performance, and potential water stress. For industrial applications, it provides additional insight for inspecting assets such as solar power panels and power lines. Calibrated Data for Consistent Results The included Downwelling Light Sensor 2 (DLS2) and CRP2 calibrated reflectance panel support radiometric calibration workflows. The DLS2 measures incident light conditions and sun angle, helping account for changing illumination during a flight. The CRP2 provides known reflectance values for calibration during post-processing. Together, these tools support more consistent datasets for comparisons across flights, locations, and growing seasons.
