Rangkaat
A Banarasi technique where multiple warp colours are planned to create tonal movement. Before silk meets loom, it begins as a drawing. Motifs are mapped. Stripes are counted. Colours are placed—warp by warp. Sketch pen hues echo the final weave: teal grounds, antique gold, soft whites. Designed on paper. Executed by artisans. Woven over months Rangkaat is not decoration. It is discipline.
