Laminate Paddle Making (June 5th, 13th, 14th) with Martin Thornell

The multi-day laminate paddle course begins by looking at various paddle shapes, designs and the advantages of different species of wood. Participants are encouraged to think creatively about their paddles and truly make them unique for their specific applications whether it's canoeing, or as a fresh new wall ornament (hopefully not). Martin will talk you through your options and make sure you're on your way to making a gorgeous and functional paddle just for you. Over the course of 2 sessions, participants will go from design through to creating a laminated paddle made up of strips of various types of domestic hard and softwoods of their choice.
