Tinpot Hut Sauvignon Blanc (750ml)
The Aromatic Purity of Marlborough Crafted by renowned winemaker Fiona Turner, Tinpot Hut has become a benchmark for sophisticated, terroir-driven Sauvignon Blanc. Sourced primarily from the Blind River sub-region (known for its cooler temperatures and wind-exposed sites), this wine avoids the overly tropical "fruit bomb" style. Instead, it offers a profile of intense mineral snap and crystalline acidity. It is a precise and energetic expression of Marlborough that focuses on aromatic complexity and a long, refreshing finish. Appearance - A brilliant, pale lemon-yellow with shimmering green highlights. Nose - An immediate and captivating bouquet. Uplifted aromas of fresh passionfruit and pink grapefruit are layered with fragrant notes of lemongrass, crushed thyme, and a distinct, flinty minerality. Palate - Light-to-medium-bodied and remarkably energetic. The palate provides a succulent core of citrus and tropical fruit, underscored by a bracing, zesty acidity that provides incredible lift. It finishes with impressive persistence, leaving a saline, mouth-watering impression and a trace of blackcurrant leaf. Pairings - Fresh Pacific Oysters, Gindara Saikyo Yaki, Aburi Engawa, Truffle Kombu Edamame, Iberico Pork with Yuzu. Service - Serve at 8–10°C. This Sauvignon Blanc is at its most expressive when well-chilled, which highlights its vibrant acidity and herbal aromatics. It is delicious upon release and does not require decanting.
