Description: A lovely 19th-century polychrome transferware soup bowl in the treasured “Feather” pattern by Wood & Challinor, Staffordshire, England. Measuring 10 ½ inches with a gently scalloped rim, this antique bowl showcases a graceful spray of green peacock feathers accented with hand-colored red and yellow flower heads. A charming example of Staffordshire polychrome transferware with a romantic palette typical of early Victorian tableware. Back edge has a ½” line in the glaze which feels like it may be glazed over or just a glaze crack (as shown).
