Antique French Limoges Absinthe Saucer 1F75

An antique French porcelain absinthe saucer or bistro coaster, marked “1F75” for 1 franc 75 centimes. These saucers were used in French cafés to indicate the price of a drink, often absinthe, and helped waiters tally the bill. This example has a cream-white glaze with a scalloped rim, burgundy edge, fine gold and black line detail, and a Limoges France mark on the underside.
