Pewter Candlestick Holders – Set of Two

There is nothing more Norwegian then candles! Maybe it’s the long winter nights but Norwegians just love their candles. In fact, they even have a word about that coziness candles bring; koselig. Read about koselig here! Another Norwegian tradition is pewter. Pewter, or tin, goes back to the Viking times. Much cheaper than silver, ancient artisans used pewter for beautiful functional art, and even today, pewter items in one form or another are still found in most homes in Norway. We bring you a set of pewter candlesticks holders found in Nittedal in Norway. Made by Haugrud AS, these candlesticks stand approx 3.25″ tall and are a little over 3.5″ at their widest in the base. Mid century modern in design, the candlesticks are in great shape; there are no dents we can see, and a very small area of lights scratches – please see the photo provided.
