March 14 to 20, 2027 | Hosted by IFSBali.com | IFS CE Credits Available Restoring the Heart of the Therapist An Internal Family Systems (IFS) retreat in Bali for therapists and practitioners For many therapists, the work begins with a deep wish to help relieve suffering, bring understanding, and support healing in others. But over time, the constant orientation toward caring for others can create distance from the quieter inner relationship with ourselves. This retreat is an invitation to turn inward again. Held in the gentle rhythm of Bali, this restorative IFS retreat in Bali offers space to reconnect with your own inner system through rest, reflection, experiential Internal Family Systems (IFS) processes, and meaningful connection with fellow practitioners. Together with Senior Internal Family Systems Lead Trainer Cece Sykes, you are invited into a deeply restorative and experiential retreat created especially for IFS therapists and practitioners.. Surrounded by turquoise ocean, warm breezes, and the quiet hum of Balinese life, this retreat offers something rare: a compassionate pause, where you become the one held. Meet Cece Sykes, Senior Lead Trainer with the IFS Institute Cece Sykes, LCSW, ACSW, has over forty years of clinical experience supporting recovery from trauma and addiction. A founding trainer with the IFS Institute, she developed her own pioneering approach to working with addictive processes and has spent more than two decades teaching therapists around the world. She is co-author of IFS Therapy for Addictions: Trauma-Informed, Compassion-Based Interventions for Substance Use, Eating, Gambling and More (2023), along with numerous IFS articles. Cece is also the originator of her Heart Lessons of the Journey retreats, where therapists are invited into a deeper exploration of their personal narratives in a held, experiential space. She continues to teach, consult, and lead retreats internationally, and lives with her husband in her lifelong home of Chicago, close to family, friends, and grandchildren. Embodying IFS — A Return to Self in Practice This retreat invites you into a full-bodied return to Self — one where your inner system becomes the focus of gentle, curious exploration. Across the week, Cece will guide you through an experiential journey designed to help you reconnect with the early impulses and parts that led you into the healing professions, meet your own system with renewed tenderness, explore the burdens, gifts, and legacies you carry, and rediscover the joy and clarity at the center of your work. Each day blends experiential IFS processes, guided inner journeys, reflective writing, heartfelt dialogue, quiet moments in nature, and nourishing rest. As you deepen into your own story, you’ll be supported by Bali’s calming ocean air, lush tropical landscape, and a community of fellow practitioners committed to authentic presence. Expect a week that softens the edges, restores your vitality, and reconnects you with what is most essential. You’ll return home more grounded, more openhearted, and more aligned with the deeper intention behind your work. Who This Retreat Is For: This retreat is designed for IFS-trained therapists, practitioners, counselors, and coaches who have completed IFS Level 1 training (or hold equivalent experience). If you are deeply IFS-informed through alternative pathways, you’re welcome to reach out and share your background for consideration. As the retreat includes internal, experiential IFS processes, a solid working understanding of the model is essential, and to support depth, safety, and a meaningful group process, participation is limited to a maximum of 28 participants. This retreat also offers IFS Continuing Education (CE) credits, applicable toward IFS certification and recertification. What's included in Your Retreat Package?
