Mid century impressionistic Paris Street scene, painted in oil on canvas. Features the iconic Sacré Coeur Basilica looming in the background of Montmartre, Paris. Signed Caroline Burnett, an American artist who lived and painted in Paris, although her name was used in thousands of factory commercial art studios and Europe, Mexico and Asia in the 1960s and 70s to produce atmospheric Parisian tour scenes for the global export market. These were sold at hotel, art shows, by door-to-door salesman, and on the street. With frame, measures 15 1/2” wide by 27 1/2” tall.
