Designer: Geoffrey Bawa Designed in 1993 for Kandalama Hotel’s Kanchana Lounge, these lamps were installed in the hotel only in 2005 due to budget constraints. The version at Bawa’s Colombo residence, No. 11, 33rd Lane, was made by Bawa in collaboration with the metalworker, Dunstan and meant to highlight an artefact. The re-edition replaces solid stone with lightweight composite stone. The metal elements have been machined from aluminium.
