Heaven in a Wildflower, a new novel set in a Swedish-settled community in central Kansas, will make its debut at Midsummer’s Festival in Lindsborg, the prototype for the town at the heart of the book. To escape her lonely existence in a prairie parsonage, Kristin Thorsen retreats into her imagination where she finds solace in books, Swedish folktales, and stories of the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair.
