Georgian Star Link Belcher Chain

A cosmic and divine Georgian chain in 15 carat gold. Dating from the early 1800s, the round belcher links feature tiny embossed stars that glisten and twinkle over a hatched background - the detail seems almost impossible, and indeed, it was only through an advance in technology that such goldwork could be created. And it's long: over 30 inches long. The oversized barrel clasp features fine filligree and cannetille embellishment and appears original to the piece; it closes securely and remains complete with its hinged connector.
