Bucephalandra Spathulifolia 'Neo'
Bucephalandra Spathulifolia ‘Neo’ is a dreamy Bucephalandra variety that features heavily ruffled leaves, deep green (nearly black) coloration, and a subtle shimmer. As the plant matures, newer growth may display bronze, copper, or darker tones that contrast against established foliage. Its textured leaves and dense growth habit make it a fantastic option for adding detail to driftwood, stone, and other hardscape gaps. Like other Bucephalandra species, Spathulifolia ‘Neo’ is an epiphytic plant that grows from a rhizome. Over time, it’ll slowly attach to porous surfaces and develop into a dense, textured colony. Established Bucephalandra colonies are among our favorite features in a planted aquarium, creating incredible texture while providing natural shelter for shrimp and other small aquatic inhabitants. While Buce can be grown in high-tech planted aquariums, we find they grow much better in shaded conditions and require less maintenance. Plant Care & Information
