Gibson SJ-200 | Natural | USA | 1999
This Gibson SJ-200 is a fabulous looking, punchy sounding rhythm machine. Resplendent in stunning figured maple, the top tier wood selection is shown off underneath a light nitrocellulose clear finish displaying a highly figured neck, back and sides. The medium and even grained spruce spruce top has broken in well over the last 27 years, giving a big, warm and LOUD acoustic projection. This fully acoustic instrument sounds and plays excellently. With 2.5mm action at the 12th fret, this is easy to play, with a nice straight neck and a very “medium” c profile. At near 44mm at the nut, the neck feels reasonably wide. The painted motif on the pick guard has been rubbed back approximately 20% from strumming. This is the only specific signs of wear on this instrument. Easily one of the most beautiful acoustic guitars ever produced, this Gibson SJ-200 is a sight and sound to behold. ______________________________ Brand: Gibson Model: SJ200 Country: USA (Montana) Year: 1999 Serial: X9160XXX Case: OHSC Body Colour: Natural Neck Colour: Natural Finish Type: Nitro Body Material: Figured Maple Neck Material: Figured Maple Fretboard Material: Rosewood Scale Length: 25.5” Frets: 20 Fretboard Radius: 12" Action (Low E): 2.5mm Neck Profile: Med C Nut Width: 43.9mm 12th Fret Width: 53.9mm 1st Fret Depth: 21.2mm 11th Fret Depth: 22.3mm Pick Guard: Painted Tortoiseshell Tuners: Kluson Tulip Hardware: Gold Weight: 2.4kgs Mods, Repairs: N/A
