About this coffee La Macarena is one of Wilton Benitez's most representative projects and a reflection of how far decaffeinated coffees can go when approached with the same level of precision and ambition as any other top lot. Grown at 1,900 masl and processed with exceptional care, this Red Bourbon undergoes multiple stages of selection and fermentation before being decaffeinated through the natural sugar cane process, preserving the identity and expression of the coffee. In the cup Floral notes of magnolia combine with the freshness of watermelon and mandarin, while cacao nibs bring depth and structure to the cup. Clean, expressive and surprisingly complex, with a profile built around clarity and elegance. Why we selected it We selected La Macarena because it proves that removing caffeine does not mean sacrificing character or complexity. Not simply a great decaf. A great coffee that just happens to be decaffeinated.
