Deer Leader return with their second full-length release, The Bluebirds of Happiness, on independent label Last Night From Glasgow. Working with between experienced producers Andy Miller (Mogwai, Life Without Buildings) and Chris Gordon (Union of Knives, Baby Chaos), The Bluebirds of Happiness sees the band sharpen their sound — drawing influence from the atmospheric decay of Low’s most recent records, the mechanical tension of Nine Inch Nails, the emotive math rock of American Football, and the rhythmic drive of Can’s krautrock.
