Forest Grown Monk's Wild White Camellia formosensis White Tea **This is not a tea for beginners! This one is for those that have experience with the cultivar, area and body feel of these types of teas. Seed propagated, forest grown, certified organic and delicately picked and produced by hand, this tea is something special. If you want to understand Camellia formosensis, this is one of the purest examples of this tea that can be found. Made from 'tea forest' material found in the forest surrounding the Shan Wai Shan Temple in the hills of Pinglin, the Monk's and Nuns of the temple have created this white tea to be a pure expression of the area. Each formosensis tree has been planted by hand and left to grow in the forest surrounding the temple. It is a beautiful and special place to visit. The taste is of soft, sweet and clean formosensis leaf litter, touches of pumpkin and wild flower, with a clear and smooth mouthfeel. It is a beautifully contemplative tea, and should be brewed with care and time. **We only have about 1kg of this tea as it is not made in large quantities.
