SCIENTIFIC NAME: Dracaena surculosa 'Gold Dust' (formerly Dracaena godseffiana) KNOWN AS: Gold Dust Dracaena, Spotted Dracaena CLIMATE (LOCATION): West Africa | Tropical Rainforest DESCRIPTION: The Gold Dust looks remarkably different from other Dracaenas. Instead of thick canes, it grows on slender, bamboo-like stems that branch out into an elegant, bushy shrub. The leaves are oval and glossy, featuring a deep green base heavily "shattered" with creamy yellow and gold spots, as if it were hit by a spray of gold paint. It is a slow grower but is incredibly hardy and brings a delicate, airy texture to a room.
