Original Civil War Ames M1860 Cavalry Sword and Scabbard with very desirable pre war 1859 production date. Has a really nice Ames Maker Mark on one side of the blade and the U.S./ 1859/ JH Inspector stamp on the reverse. Full length blade with a nice point. Leather wrap and wire are in great condition. Beautiful brass patina on the guard and pommel. Pommel has two inspector cartouche. Scabbard is complete and fits the sword perfect. Please see all photos for condition.
