Neon Kerchief

Designed in Leitrim, hand dyed in studio, and knit in Dublin by Marian, the Gorse Flower Kerchief is a small, luminous piece shaped by place and process. The yarn begins as a mohair tweed wool, traditionally spun by Donegal Yarns. Each piece is then hand dyed in studio, building a vivid yellow drawn from the brightness of gorse in bloom, that unmistakable colour that cuts through hedgerows and hillsides across the West. Knit by Marian using a tuck stitch, the structure opens the surface gently, creating a soft, airy texture that holds warmth without weight. It sits lightly at the neck, folding and draping with ease, more like an accent than a layer, yet quietly functional. The scale is intentional. It can be tied simply or worn loose, bringing a sharp lift of colour against cream Aran, dark wool, or in contrast with denim. Mohair tweed wool spun by Donegal Yarns.
