Burundi Kibingo SCR15 Washed Filter
For the fourth year in a row, we’re sourcing from Kibingo washing station in Kayanza. Sitting at just under 1,900 meters, Kibingo works with more than 3,500 smallholder farmers, most of whom cultivate just a few hundred trees each. During harvest, cherries are delivered daily and carefully sorted before processing. The station is known for its disciplined approach: strict cherry selection, density grading, and extended fermentation protocols managed by experienced agronomists. This level of control allows them to consistently highlight clarity and structure in the cup, while still pushing for more expressive profiles. Kibingo has also become a central part of the local community, providing seasonal employment and investing in farmer support programs that focus on improving both yield and quality over time.
