COILED VASE MASTERCLASS WITH GUEST POTTER! @Honungceramics SATURDAY 27th JUNE 10AM - 1PM Join us for an inspired hands on masterclass exploring the ancient technique of coil-building to create a elegant, functional vase. Led by our new experienced guest potter Heather @Honungceramics, this session combines technical demonstration, guided practice, and individual feedback to help potters of all levels bring sculptural forms to life using coils. What you’ll learn: Fundamentals of coil construction: preparing coils, scoring, and joining for strength Building form and proportion: shaping walls, smoothing seams, and controlling thickness Surface treatments: texture, carving, and simple slipping/underglaze techniques for finishing Who it’s for: Beginner to intermediate potters who want to expand hand-building skills Wheel throwers curious about alternative forming methods Any maker interested in sculptural ceramics and surface design Format: 3-hour interactive workshop (demo + hands-on time) Small group size for individual advice All basic tools and shared studio materials provided Finished pieces will be kiln fired after the class for you to collect at a later date. Leave the class with a large completed coil-built vase, new techniques to incorporate into your practice, and have experienced something new! suitable for beginners, adults only.
