BUKOWSKI Playing Cards ( MADISON ONE - TATTOO Edition 1 of 4 )
This is The MADISON ONE - TATTOO Edition of the CHARLES BUKOWSKI Playing Cards, a tribute to Buk based on his poetry and his book 'Love is a Dog From Hell.' This is a special MADISON ONE Entry, limited to only 4 decks. Madison owns 2 of these, Craig Frost own 1, and this is the 4th deck. This edition differs to the 52 Edition in a few different ways. This deck is printed on 'The Madison Casino' stock which is thicker and more durable. The back design has no border and each of the 'dogs' have a Madison tattoo ( 9 Madison Symbols appear in total ) This special edition is also unmarked and features a slightly different tuck box which features more of the teal colour. This powerful deck uses artwork created by Madison inspired by the book cover ( and the book itself ( and Buk himself ) ) 'Love is a Dog From Hell' - This deck is fully marked with a small speed-reading dealers marking system hidden in the eyes of the 'dogs' on the bottom left and top right. The deck takes on the color of the book cover throughout, with the only white / negative space to appear on the Bluebird and the signature. Bukowski can be found as the King of Clubs in this deck, hosting a hidden revelation of the Ace of Hearts, which in this deck is the Power Ace and features a Bluebird. In place of the Jokers you will find a duplicate Ace of Hearts, which also serves as a Gaff card, featuring a hidden King of Clubs on the chest of the Bluebird. A duplicate Buk ( King of Clubs ) is also in this deck, alongside a photo of Bukowski and a card with one of his poems 'Roll the Dice.' There is also a secret hidden revelation of the King of Clubs inside the tuck box. Watch the videos below to see the deck up close and in action and to also learn the marking system.
