Product Overview: Evercoat Slick Sand™ Gray Polyester Primer Surfacer + Liquid Hardener, 1 Quart (100708) is a high-solids, extra high-build hybrid polyester-based primer surfacer engineered to deliver exceptional filling and film-build properties. Excellent for automotive restoration, custom fabrication, woodworking, and marine surface preparation. Offers extremely high build compatibility and sands easily. Ideally suited for large, rough, and uneven surfaces, it easily achieves a dry film thickness of 4.0 to 6.0 mils per coat to create a flat, smooth foundation with zero shrinking. Formulated with a minimal solvent content, Slick Sand provides excellent structural stability, outstanding resistance to moisture, and a gel-coat-like finish. Packaged one quart (32 fluid oz / 946 mL) of gray primer with one 22cc (0.75 fluid oz) tube of liquid MEKP activator/hardener. Note: Polyester primers are highly shelf-life sensitive, we maintain rapid inventory rotation and climate-controlled storage. Store in a cool, well-ventilated place and keep the container tightly and securely closed upright when not in use. Made in the USA. Do not apply directly over self-etch primers, acidic coatings, or acidic prep wipes Mixing and Application Instructions: Preparation: Ensure the surface is completely clean and free of dirt, oil, grease, and wax. Sand the repair area and featheredge with 180–220 grit sandpaper. Blow off dust with clean compressed air. Mixing: Shake and stir the product thoroughly before mixing. Add one tube (0.75 fl. oz.) of liquid MEKP hardener to one quart of Slick Sand (or 2% by volume) and mix thoroughly. Application: Use a spray filler or primer gun equipped with a 2.0mm or larger fluid nozzle. Apply 2 to 3 medium wet coats, allowing 10 to 15 minutes of flash time between coats. Important: Do not leave mixed product in the spray gun for longer than 30 minutes. Use a strainer when pouring into the gun.
