Credits: Camel Description: After their first world tour in 1978–79, Dave Sinclair and Richard Sinclair left the band to reform Caravan, and with Mel Collins also departing, Andrew Latimer—determined to keep the band alive—recruited Happy the Man’s keyboardist, Kit Watkins, who was gaining attention as a member of the American progressive rock band Happy the Man, and bassist Colin Bath, who was active as a singer-songwriter and session musician. In October 1979, they released their new album, *Remote Romance* (original title: *I Can See Your House From Here*). Although it peaked at No. 45 on the UK charts and did not perform well commercially, fans embraced it as the new sound of the reborn Camel. Following the album’s release, the band embarked on a 46-show tour spanning Europe, the U.S., and Japan. After the tour concluded, the band began work on a new album and, to test the new material before recording began, performed a special live show on July 19, 1980, in Wijk aan Zee, the Netherlands. The setlist for that day consisted of 13 songs in total, including tracks slated for their next album, *Nude: The Return of Mr. O* (original title: *Nude*), cover songs, and encores. Portions of this concert were broadcast on a Dutch radio station. Now, thanks to the discovery of the master tape containing the complete recording of the concert, it is being released as a full-length live album. Seven of the tracks were previously unreleased at the time, and four of those will appear on the new album. Since the band performs these new songs—which, though rough around the edges, serve as prototypes—with arrangements different from those on the album, this is a truly remarkable archive for fans. Additionally, the two cover songs by Neil Larsen and Will Jennings represent an unusual selection. Kit Watkins left the band following this concert.
