Second Hand Adams LSWR B4 Dock Tank Locomotive 7 1/4" Inch gauge
This model was based on The LSWR B4 tank, they originally ordered ten locomotives in 1890 from its Nine Elms Works. The class was designated by their order number ‘B4’ and delivered during 1891 and 1892. There is a preserved version " No. 96 Normandy" LSWR Adams B4 dock tank, currently on the Bluebell railway in East Sussex. We haven’t had one of these compact 7 1/4" Gauge Steam models before but it has a lot of good attributes; short wheel base to negotiate tight curves, heavy enough to do some club haulage, light enough for 2 persons to lift into the back of your car. This standard gauge 7 1/4" model has a lot going for it! This model includes: copper silver soldered tested and certified boiler, injector, hand pump, mechanical lubricator, it also shows very little wear and tear on the mechanical parts so we would think it’s not seen a lot of work on rails. (A good winter project to tidy up the paint work and you would have a lovely model!)
