The Decisive Brush – Alla Prima Oil Painting – Teen / Adult Class

Staring at a white canvas can be intimidating. In this class, we will overcome that fear by painting a small canvas in an alla prima approach each week. We will focus on simplifying shapes, mixing color confidently, and using decisive brushwork with the goal of finishing up a painting in one go! Students should have basic drawing skills. Beginner oil painters are welcome. We will use a solvent free painting method. Artists provide their own oil painting materials. A list of supplies will be emailed upon registration. Canvas boards will be provided by the studio. (min 6 / max 12). Section JAN10S: Saturdays, 10 am to 12 pm, Jan 9 to Feb 20, $224 for 7 classes.
