Asian Hornet Muzzle for Warré Beehives (Beehive Entrance Guard)

Yellow-legged hornets (Vespa velutina), also known as Asian hornets, attack honey bees around the hive entrance, catching returning foragers and putting continuous pressure on the colony. The Ornetin Muzzle for Warré Hives is a beehive entrance protector specifically designed for Warré beehives with a width of 34 cm. It creates a protected area in front of the hive entrance that helps reduce yellow-legged hornet attacks while reducing colony stress and allowing bees to enter, leave and fly freely. The Ornetin Muzzle fits perfectly on hives where the floor does not extend beyond the sides of the hive body. If your hive floor protrudes beyond the hive body, you will need to make a small cut-out in the wooden side panels of the muzzle to accommodate the protruding edge of the floor.
