Beluga 5-Compartment Flood Control Barrier

The Beluga™ BG-5 is a heavy-duty, five-compartment flood-control barrier designed for rapidly constructing long, continuous protection lines against major flooding, storm surge, erosion and moving water. Each BG-5 measures approximately 15 feet long by 3 feet deep by 40 inches high when filled. Its five connected chambers help contain and evenly distribute sand, gravel or other suitable aggregate, creating a stable temporary levee with fewer gaps than individually placed bags. One BG-5 replaces approximately 750 traditional sandbags and uses about 150 cubic feet of fill material. The barrier ships flat for efficient storage and transportation, then expands concertina-style for positioning and filling at the deployment site. Multiple BG-5 units can be placed end to end to protect longer distances. Individual BG-1 bags can be added where targeted placement, gap filling or reinforcement is needed.
