Vacheron Constantin Phidias reference 48010 unworn with papers
Vacheron Constantin introduced the Phidias in 1989, a sporty yet refined watch with an integrated bracelet, very much in the spirit of its time. It stayed in the catalogue through the 1990s and is now seen as the predecessor of the Overseas. For a long time it flew under the radar, which is exactly why collectors have started looking at it closely. This reference 48010 combines steel and 18k yellow gold in a 33mm case, with a gold bezel and a bracelet whose central gold links run straight through the steel. The white dial is as clean as it gets: applied gold batons, slim gold hands, a date at three and the “Automatic” signature. The caseback carries its individual number, 941. The watch is never worn, and comes with its papers and full-length bracelet. A neo-vintage Vacheron in the condition it left Geneva. Finding one like this today is not something that happens every week.
