RNA HS Assay Kit
Description Measuring low-concentration RNA by UV A260 can be affected by limited sensitivity and substances present in laboratory samples. The Biofargo RNA HS Assay Kit provides a fluorescence-based method that is highly selective for RNA over double-stranded DNA. The assay tolerates the common contaminants tested in the user guide, including salts, free nucleotides, solvents, detergents, and proteins. Depending on sample volume, the assay measures initial RNA concentrations from 0.5 to 100 ng/µL, with a total assay range of 5–100 ng. It accepts 1–20 µL of sample in a final assay volume of 200 µL and can be used with a Qubit fluorometer or a fluorescence microplate reader. The assay requires a 2-minute incubation at room temperature protected from light. The fluorescent signal remains stable for up to 3 hours after incubation when protected from light. For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) What is the measurement range of the Biofargo RNA HS Assay Kit? Depending on sample volume, the initial RNA concentration range is 0.5–100 ng/µL. The total assay range is 5–100 ng. Can the kit be used with a Qubit fluorometer? Yes. The user guide provides a Qubit workflow using two RNA standards. On a Qubit 4 Fluorometer, select RNA and then RNA High Sensitivity. Can the kit be used with a fluorescence microplate reader? Yes. The user guide provides a 96-well workflow with 620 nm excitation and 660 nm emission. How much RNA sample is needed? Add 1–20 µL of sample and adjust the working solution so that the final volume is 200 µL per tube or well. How should the kit components be stored? Store standards QS0 and QS1 at −25 to −15 °C. Store all other components at 2–8 °C. Documents Product User Manual
