Fetele din Balkani

Fetele din Balkani is a fresh and dynamic ensemble based in Vancouver. It brings together three accomplished musicians from diverse backgrounds to reimagine the rich musical traditions of the Balkans. Formed by Lacri Galagan (piano, Moldova), Irene Senent (violin, Spain), and Jen Yakamovich (drums, Canada), Fetele din Balkani blends classical training, deep cultural roots, and contemporary experimentation. Their inventive and heartfelt compositions of Balkan folk music incorporate improvisation, rhythmic play, and rich textures.
