Dolly Parton grew up the fourth of twelve children in a one-room cabin on Locust Ridge, and by the time she left us she had written more than 3,000 songs, built a theme park in the Smokies that employs thousands of her neighbors, and put more than 250 million books into children's hands through the Imagination Library.
