8 Person Polycotton Expedition Tent - Gamme 8 PC - Floor Included by Nortent
The Nortent Gamme 8 PC is an 8-person polycotton expedition tent inspired by the ancient Norwegian “gamme” — the turf hut that sheltered Norway's first people and the Sami for centuries. Its hybrid polycotton fabric (65% polyester, 35% cotton) combines the packability and rip-stop strength of synthetics with the breathability and insulation of cotton, so you get a warm, dry indoor climate you can still carry into the backcountry. A robust Oxford-nylon section at the base shrugs off rough ground and lets you load it with snow or stones for extra stability. Built for stove use, the Gamme 8 PC stays warm, dry and cosy in the cold. Six air valves — four at the top to vent moist air and two larger lower vents to draw fresh air in — keep condensation close to zero and feed plenty of oxygen when running a stove, while sewn-in mosquito nets in both entrances let you throw the doors open on hot days. Because the breathable fabric all but eliminates condensation, an inner tent isn't required — though one is available if you want to block bugs out entirely. Five 15.2 mm aluminium poles cross at seven points to create a free-standing, hugely strong structure that withstands severe weather and heavy snow load, anchored by 24 Y-pegs and up to 14 Dyneema guylines. At 216 cm peak height and a 432 cm diameter with the floor included (+1.5 kg), it's a genuine basecamp cabin. An optional Gamme 8 inner tent is available — see Compatible Accessories below.
